U.S. - New York and Vermont- June 2010 and June 2012

In June 2010, I traveled to New York State's Finger Lakes region, and also spent some time in Vermont, mainly the Burlington region, I returned to Vermont in June 2012, again mainly the northern part of the state. I did not visit New York on this trip, except for seeing a great view of the Adirondacks from the Burlington side of Lake Champlain. Instead, I made a brief excursion into southern Quebec.

Octagonal house in Geneva, New York.

Myself biking along Seneca Lake in Geneva, New York.

Skaneateles, New York, alongside its namesake lake.

Campus at University of Vermont in Burlington.

Harbor lighthouse at Burlington, Vermont, taken from a cruise on lake Champlain. New York's Adirondack Mountains are in the distance.

Myself beside the round barn at Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, Vermont. This museum is a must-see if one is in the area!

View from the top of Mount Mansfield in Vermont. At 4,300 feet in altitude (approximately), this is the highest point in the state.

Round Church, a historic building in Richmond, Vermont.

Historic church (L'Eglise St. James) in St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada.

Typical scenery in southern Quebec, Canada, a few miles from the U.S. border.

State capital building in Montpelier, Vermont. Montpelier is one of the smallest cities in the U.S. that serves as its state capital, but it has a very nice main street and shopping district.
